Trust & verification

VerityBase is built to help Buyers avoid greenwashing. Every match shows two signals so you know how much to rely on it: a match score and a trust label.

Trust labels and match scores on a solution match

Match score

A number out of 100 showing how well a solution fits the need you described. Higher means a closer fit — but always read it alongside the trust label.

Trust labels

Each claim and solution carries one of three labels:

  • Verified — the claim has been independently checked. You'll often see the date and source alongside it (e.g. "Verified · 2026-05-30").
  • Self-reported — the supplier stated it themselves; it hasn't been independently checked yet.
  • Unverified — no supporting evidence has been attached.

Read them together

A high match score with a Self-reported label means "promising, but take the claim at face value." A Verified claim is better supported — not necessarily a better fit. Weigh both.

No greenwashing

Matching is designed so that unverifiable or overstated claims don't quietly outrank honest, well-evidenced ones. If a claim looks too good to be true, the trust label is the first place to look.
